In the world of IT, security vulnerabilities are a serious matter. Whether caused by misconfigurations, programming errors, faulty installations, or insufficient maintenance – vulnerabilities represent potential entry points for attackers and threaten the integrity and confidentiality of data as well as the availability of systems.
To mitigate such risks, RUB-Cert regularly conducts vulnerability scans on all systems accessible within the RUB network and notifies the responsible parties about identified security issues.
In the case of particularly critical vulnerabilities, or if the responsible individuals cannot be reached, the affected system may be proactively disconnected from the network until the vulnerability is resolved.
Additionally, RUB-Cert, in cooperation with IT.SERVICES, offers individual vulnerability scans as a service, which you can request if needed.
