The DNS RPZ service (Response Policy Zone) of Ruhr University Bochum is a security measure designed to prevent access to known malicious websites.
By integrating this service into the university’s DNS system, requests to dangerous domains are automatically blocked.
This protects users from threats such as phishing, malware, and botnet communication by, for example, preventing access to harmful websites. When attempting to open a website classified as dangerous, a security notification will appear in the browser.
